NEWS RELEASE: Local retailer partners with St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation
On Friday, August 11 the local J. McLaughlin store in Ketchum, Idaho will be hosting their first ever Sip & Shop benefit to support St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation. The shop will be donating 15 percent of proceeds from the day to the Foundation.
SLWRF’s Chief Development Officer, Megan Tanous said, “We are so pleased that our local retail community is stepping up to support our initiatives here at the Foundation and can’t thank them enough for their efforts.”
The need for workforce housing is at the forefront of SLWRF’s fundraising efforts, as they request help from the community. Building employee housing is the only way to retain and recruit essential high quality healthcare workers. The Foundation has partnered with ARCH Community Housing Trust and St. Luke’s Health System to build 12 new workforce housing units. To date, four new homes have been completed in Quigley farms and two new fourplexes are under construction in Hailey and Bellevue. Thanks to community generosity, these homes are slated to be completed and move-in ready by 2024.
